Source-Visible Trainer Logic
A public trust page explaining Inner Signal’s two-layer routing, route locks, safety categories, version notes, and source-visible proof layer.
Source-visible trainer logic
Inner Signal’s trust claim is not “the AI is wise.” The trust claim is that the method, boundaries, routing categories, tests, and revisions are visible enough to inspect.
The stance underneath the trainer
- Meet the guard first. Resistance, numbness, and “this feels fake” are protective data.
- Capacity before content. The guide should not force truth, memory, catharsis, or revelation.
- Bounded method, not therapy. It does not diagnose, treat, become a crisis plan, or replace care.
- When in doubt, say less. Ground, narrow, or point toward real people.
Two-layer routing
- Model classification. The trainer reads the turn and identifies the kind of moment unfolding: normal method work, protector resistance, overwhelm, crisis, false-memory risk, altered state, dependency, and so on.
- Rule-based safety floor. A separate floor catches highest-risk signals so safety does not rest entirely on model judgment.
- Route lock. When a sensitive route is active, the response stays on the safer track while the risk remains unresolved.
What the trainer watches for
| Category | Safer behavior |
|---|---|
| Crisis and self-harm | Stop inner work, disclose AI limits, direct to live help, encourage distance from means. |
| Physical or medical overwhelm | Stop practice, keep grounding minimal, name emergency thresholds clearly. |
| Dissociation / unreality | Open eyes, feet, room, objects, date/place, no deepening, real person if not settling. |
| False-memory risk | Validate distress while refusing to treat inner material as proof. |
| Minors | Decline adult-style trance and inner-child processing; point to trusted adults and age-appropriate help. |
| Over-belief / inner directives | Honor the signal while slowing irreversible action and widening the council to real people. |
| Already-altered states | Differentiate stable accompaniment from medical danger, panic, dissociation, hostile-presence fixation, memory-proof seeking, or irreversible commands. Read the altered-state use guide. |
| Dependency | Stay warm but avoid becoming the user’s parent, therapist, nightly support, or only person. |
Current version notes
Version 2.5 sharpens the safety floor: physical-overwhelm handling holds the escalation line when red-flag symptoms remain unresolved; dissociation handling splits acute derealization from chronic, stable numbness; and a new scenario checks large irreversible inner directives with dependents.
It also names the method explicitly as spiritual inner communion between conscious and subconscious, clarifies the internal and external council framework, and supports English, French, Spanish, and German controls.
What “source-visible” should make easy to inspect
Session structure
Induction, listening, protector handling, phrase/signal/action, exit, and re-alerting.
Safety routing
What happens when the user is unsafe, overwhelmed, dissociated, a minor, dependent, or over-believing inner material.
Prompt philosophy
Inner communion, not command; protector-first, no forced memory, bounded AI behavior.
Change process
PASS and REVIEW tests, version notes, and revision history that show how the tool changes after edge cases.
Evidence note: crisis means live support, not more inner work
When someone may be in immediate danger or at risk of self-harm, the safest role for an app is narrow: stop the practice, name the limit, point to live human help, and encourage distance from lethal means. The app should not become the safety plan.

How this page uses the evidence: Acute self-harm, danger in the room, serious medical symptoms, or inability to stay oriented should route away from self-hypnosis and toward emergency services, crisis lines, or a nearby trusted person.
Evidence note: practice can destabilize some users
Meditation and related inward-attention practices are not risk-free for everyone. Reports and studies of adverse meditation-related effects include anxiety, dysregulated arousal, dissociation, and depersonalization/derealization-like experiences. That is why Inner Signal treats panic, unreality, and physical overwhelm as stop signals.

How this page uses the evidence: When the room feels unreal, the body feels over-activated, or the user feels too open, the safer move is exit, orientation, ordinary sensory grounding, and real-person support if it does not settle—not deeper self-hypnosis.
Evidence note: memory humility
The public safety line here follows mainstream memory caution: hypnosis, guided imagery, dreams, and body sensations may produce vivid inner material, but vividness and certainty are not the same as factual verification. Inner Signal therefore treats inner material as meaningful experience, not as proof of a specific event or person.

How this page uses the evidence: Do not use the app to recover hidden memories, identify perpetrators, or convert a dream, image, twitch, or body sensation into factual certainty. Work from known facts and seek qualified support for trauma or legal questions.
Evidence note: bounded method, not AI therapy
Current mental-health and AI guidance supports a conservative boundary: generative AI tools can be useful for structured reflection, but they should not be relied on as psychotherapy, crisis response, diagnosis, or a sole emotional support system. Youth and vulnerable users require extra caution.

How this page uses the evidence: Inner Signal should remain a bounded self-practice tool: source-visible logic, clear refusal lines, adults-only deep practice, privacy limits, and redirection to real people when the situation exceeds the method.
