FAQ

Answers about guided self-hypnosis, no-trance inner-child reparenting, source-visible logic, memory boundaries, privacy, safety, and paid access.

What is Inner Signal?

Inner Signal is an educational self-practice trainer for adults. It has two modes: guided self-hypnosis and no-trance inner-child reparenting. Both are built around inner communion, protector-first pacing, clear safety boundaries, and grounded integration.

Is this therapy?

No. Inner Signal is not therapy, hypnotherapy, medical care, diagnosis, crisis support, or trauma treatment. It can help you practice a method; it cannot replace a qualified clinician or a real person in a dangerous moment.

Is this command hypnosis?

No. Inner Signal does not frame the subconscious as something to dominate or program. The stance is: deeper self, body, child, protectors — I am listening. The adult self leads, but it does not command inner material into compliance.

What is the difference between the two modes?

Guided self-hypnosis uses a calm inward structure with an induction and exit. No-trance inner-child reparenting stays conversational: no induction, no deepening, no trance frame.

What if it feels fake?

That may be the first honest signal. The app should not push past it. It should ask what the fake-feeling, eye-rolling, blankness, or skepticism might be protecting.

What if nothing happens?

Nothing has failed. Blankness can mean silence, tiredness, a guard part, or simply no obvious signal today. A good next step may be resting, noticing one body sensation, or deciding today is for stopping.

What is an inner signal?

An inner signal is an invited body-mind response: a word, warmth, tightness, breath change, movement, image, mood, “no,” or nothing. It is feedback, not proof.

Can Inner Signal recover memories?

No. It should not be used to recover or confirm memories. Dreams, images, sensations, twitches, and trance material can feel meaningful, but they are not evidence of a specific event or person.

Why one phrase, one body signal, and one small action?

Because inner work needs to land. The phrase gives language, the body signal helps memory, and the action gives the Protector something concrete to do in life.

What does source-visible mean?

It means the method logic is made inspectable: route categories, safety boundaries, tests, and changelog, not just polished claims. It does not guarantee safety, but it makes the tool more accountable.

Is it private?

The preview can include local browser history and a privacy mode for whether the conversation is saved in the browser. That does not make the broader AI platform confidential like therapy. Use the site privacy page and your AI account settings for the full platform-specific details.

Who is it for?

Adults who want structured self-hypnosis or no-trance inner-child practice, can stop when needed, and are not using the app as crisis support or memory recovery.

Who should not use it alone?

People in crisis, active danger, medical red-flag states, severe destabilization, mania, psychosis, severe dissociation, withdrawal risk, active self-harm risk, or anyone under 18 looking for trance or inner-child processing.

Can I use Inner Signal while already in an altered state?

Sometimes, if you are an adult, medically safe, oriented, coherent enough to read/respond, and using the app to stabilize or integrate rather than intensify the state. Do not use it for dosing advice, trip aborting, medical symptoms, crisis, forced memory recovery, or irreversible decisions from visions or inner commands.

Why pay if the method is visible?

The value is not secrecy. Paid access supports the official maintained version: safety revisions, edge-case testing, better flows, mobile polish, documentation, and ongoing development.

Safety boundary: Inner Signal is for adults and educational self-practice. It is not therapy, medical care, diagnosis, crisis support, trauma treatment, or a substitute for a qualified clinician. Do not use self-hypnosis to force memory recovery, override danger, suppress medical symptoms, or stay alone with acute risk.

Evidence note: memory humility

The public safety line here follows mainstream memory caution: hypnosis, guided imagery, dreams, and body sensations may produce vivid inner material, but vividness and certainty are not the same as factual verification. Inner Signal therefore treats inner material as meaningful experience, not as proof of a specific event or person.

How this page uses the evidence: Do not use the app to recover hidden memories, identify perpetrators, or convert a dream, image, twitch, or body sensation into factual certainty. Work from known facts and seek qualified support for trauma or legal questions.

Evidence note: bounded method, not AI therapy

Current mental-health and AI guidance supports a conservative boundary: generative AI tools can be useful for structured reflection, but they should not be relied on as psychotherapy, crisis response, diagnosis, or a sole emotional support system. Youth and vulnerable users require extra caution.

How this page uses the evidence: Inner Signal should remain a bounded self-practice tool: source-visible logic, clear refusal lines, adults-only deep practice, privacy limits, and redirection to real people when the situation exceeds the method.
