Why I Built Inner Signal
Origin note explaining the method, refusal lines, and skill-transfer goal.
Origin note
I built Inner Signal because self-hypnosis can be useful, but only when it has clear boundaries, no memory-forcing, protector respect, and a way back to ordinary life.
The problem I wanted to solve
Many hypnosis tools are too passive, too command-based, or too vague about safety. Many AI chats are too open-ended. Many inner-child approaches become either abstract analysis or emotional performance.
The method that emerged
Inner Signal combines guided self-hypnosis, no-trance inner-child reparenting, protector-first pacing, body signals, clear exits, and grounded integration. It is spiritual inner communion, not command.
What I refuse to build
- a recovered-memory machine
- a crisis replacement
- a bot that becomes the user’s only support
- a tool that equates intensity with truth
- a hypnosis app that hides the method behind mystique
The real goal
The goal is not for users to need Inner Signal forever. The goal is skill transfer: a person becomes more able to pause, listen, meet the guard, care for the child, and make one ordinary promise they can keep.
